Anacleto Ruben Aragon, 90, a life long resident of Ilfeld, NM passed away suddenly at Friday, April 27, 2018. He was preceded in death by his parents, Gregorio and Cesaria Aragon; his step-mother, Frances Aragon; a sister, Cecilia Aragon, a brother, Florian Aragon, and a daughter-in-law, Margie Aragon
He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Pita S. Aragon of the family home; five daughters: Yvonne Vigil and husband Benjie of Ilfeld, NM, Patricia Aragon of Albuquerque,NM,Mary Lou Aragon and husband Dennis English of Las Vegas, NM, and Inez and Bertha Aragon both of Ilfeld, NM; four sons: Ernest Aragon and David Aragon and wife Tina all of Santa Fe, NM, Billy Aragon Sr and companion Kathy Ortiz and Billy Aragon Jr. (Jessica Aragon) all of Ilfeld, NM; one sister, Vicenta “Bessie” Aragon of Albuquerque, NM, and a brother, Benancio Aragon of Las Vegas, NM; 23 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews
He was born in Ribera, NM on July 12, 1927. He was a machine specialist for the AT & SF Railway Company and retired after 40 years of service. He was a farmer and spent his time raising farm animals and enjoying his family. He married Guadalupita Sandoval on April 9, 1952 in San Miguel, NM.
Cremation has taken place and a rosary will be recited on Friday, May 4, 2018 at the San Miguel del Vado Church at 7:00 p.m.. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday May 5, 2018 at 10:00 at the San Isidro Labrador Mission Church in North San Isidro,NM. The interment will follow in the San Isidro Norte Cemetery.
