Jose A Aragon

Jose Antonio “Mora” Aragon, 86, passed away peacefully on January 1, 2019 surrounded by his family. He was born on June 13, 1932 to Carmel Aragon and Teofila Zamora Aragon in North San Isidro,k NM.  He is preceded in death by his parents; sisters Juanita Zamora and Annie Olivas; his brother Gregorio Aragon and brother-in-law, Ramon Gurule.

            He is survived by his sisters Lucille “Celina” Gurule of Las Vegas, NM and Corrina Ortega of Las Animas, CO; his nieces Shirley Sandoval (Michael) of North San Isidro, NM, Annabelle Lattimore of Wasilla, AK, and his nephew Luis Aragon (Yolanda) of San Jose, NM; great-nephews and nieces:  Patrick Sandoval (Deanna), Melissa Aragon (Eloy), Leonard Aragon, Del Gonzales, Kristina Lattimore, Angelo Aragon, Alicia Latimore, Mariah Sandoval, Justine Aragon, Trystan Padilla and many other nieces and nephews in Colorado. He is also survived Rosalia Gonzales, Leroy Gonzales (Patsy), Augustine Gonzales (Angela), and Eddie Gonzales who were raised alongside of him.  His godchildren Consuelo Gonzales of Denver, CO, Isidoro Gonzales Jr. and Alex Sandoval of North San Isidro, NM, and many other special relatives and friends. 

            He was an hermano of the Morada de Nuestsro Padre Jesus de Nazareno de San Isidro Sur.  During his life he loved farming, being with his horses, lending a helping hand to anyone in need, playing his guitar, and spending time with his family and friends.

            Services will be held from the San Miguel del Vado Church in San Miguel NMon Saturday, January 5, 2019 beginning with a rosary at 8:30 a.m. followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. The interment will follow in the San Isidro Norte Cemetery in North San Isidro, NM with the following serving as pallbearers: Alex Sandoval, Isidoro Gonzales Jr., Richard Sandoval, Leroy Gonzales, Angelo Aragon and Leonard Aragon.
