LUCIA L. RUBIO
Lucia L. Rubio, 81, formerly of Las Vegas and who had been residing in Los Lunas, NM joined the Lord on Monday surrounded by her children and grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Evaristo and Emilia Segura Lucero; her husband, Jose Rubio; and a great-grandson, Jerome Jacob Cordova.She is survived by her children: Luella Rubio of Los Lunas, NM, Theresa Rubio of Bernalillo, NM, Robert Rubio and wife Linda of Spokane, WA, Carla Rubio and Marie Rubio and husband Alex Tafoya all of Las Vegas; one brother, Juan Lucero of Albuquerque; a sister, Frances Gallegos of Meadow Lake, NM; four grandchildren: Shana Leigh Maestas, Vanessa Cordova and husband Jacob, Patricia Tafoya, and Nathaniel Rubio; and a great-granddaughter, Chayene Fisher. She was born here in Las Vegas on January 25, 1925.Cremation has already taken place and services will be held at the Immaculate Conception Church with a rosary this evening at 7:00 p.m. and the Mass of Christian Burial will be on Thursday morning at 9:00 a.m. Father C. John Brasher will celebrate the Mass. The interment will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. An online guest register is available at www.gonzalesfunerals.com.
