PETRA QUINTANA
Petra Quintana, 86, beloved mother, grandmother, and sister, passed away at Alta Vista Regional Hospital on Friday. She was preceded in death by her parents, Garcedan and Guadalupe Hidalgo Gonzales; her husband, Felix "Chano" Quintana; a son, Gilbert; brothers, Louie, Charlie, Don, and Ernie Gonzales; and her sister, Cleo Ortega.She is survived by three sons, Bobby Quintana of Las Vegas, NM, and Leroy and Alfred "Freddie" Quintana and wife Judy all of Albuquerque, NM; a sister, Mary Lou Gonzales of Las Vegas; four grandchildren, Gary M., Warren, Daryl, and Dawn Felisha Quintana; and by two great-grandchildren. She was born her in Las Vegas on September 8, 1919. She worked as a seamstress for the Jayval Parachute Factory and was in charge of the kitchen at Camp Luna for the West Las Vegas Day Care Center. She enjoyed bingo and playing at the casinos and in her past time she enjoyed cooking and sewing. She was a member of Our Lady of Sorrows Church. Cremation has already taken place. A rosary will be recited this evening at 7:00 p.m. from St. Francis Chapel at Gonzales Funerals & Cremations, 2315 Hot Springs Blvd. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday morning at 9:00 a.m. from the Immaculate Conception Church. The interment will follow in the Santa Fe National Cemetery at 1:00 p.m.A guest register is available for those wishing to leave their condolences at www.gonzalesfunerals.com.
