Agnes B. (Mascarenas) Jaramillo

Agnes B. Jaramillo, 68, a resident of Las Vegas, NM and a former resident of Las Dispensas, NM, passed away on Monday, October 25, 2010 at Alta Vista Regional Hospital with her loving family by her side. She was preceded in death by her parents, Secundino and Grace Mascarenas; her father-in-law, Miguel Jaramillo Sr.; her mother-in-law, Quirina Jaramillo; brothers: Richard "Dicky" Mascarenas, Joe Mascarenas, and Pime Mascarenas; nephews Nicky Mascarenas and Timoteo Jaramillo; a great-niece, April Garduno; and a brother-in-law, Lupe Urioste.
She is survived by her loving husband of 44 years, Miguel (Mike) Jaramillo, Jr. of the family home; two daughters, Melissa A. Jaramillo and Catherine R. Jaramillo and companion Florentino Armijo all of Las Vegas, NM; a sister, Della Urioste of Las Vegas, NM; two grandchildren, Sebastian S. and Jazmyne Q. Jaramillo; sisters-in-law Isabel Mascarenas, Connie Mascarenas, and Ermerlinda Mascarenas; Uncle, Robert Montoya of Albuquerque, NM; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
She was born in Las Dispensas, NM on June 14, 1942. She received her education here in Las Vegas, NM and in 1966 was united in marriage to Miguel (Mike) Jaramillo Jr. She was as retail sales clerk and was employed at Walmart, TG & Y, Piggly Wiggly, McCory's, Las Vegas Typewriter Co. and the American Greeting Card Company. She enjoyed gardening and taking care of her flowers and cooking.
Cremation has taken place and the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday morning at 9:00 a.m. from Our Lady of Sorrows Church. The interment will follow in the Las Dispensas Cemetery.
