It is with great sadness that we share with you the passing of Alex Gonaales, beloved Dad, Grandpa, Brother, Incle and friend to many. Alex passed away in Albuquerque, NM at the age 0f 59 on Friday, February 21, 2025 surrounded by his family. Alex was born to the late Amador and Josie Gonzales on May 16, 1965. He was born with heart problems, however Alex fought every obstacle that was presented to him with everything that he had to the very end.
Alex attended West Las Vegas Schools and worked as a security guard for the United World College and for the Santa Fe Place Mall. Alex enjoyed being outdoors, being at the ranch, raising honeybees and harvesting honey to give away. He enjoyed spending time with his daughter, Alexis and most of all his granddaughter, Amiana his pride and joy. He was preceded in death by his parents, Amador and Josie Gonzales; a son-in-law, Tay Clay; sisters: Elaine Torres (Mike), Vickie Sandoval and Erica Gonzales (Jimmy); brother, Leroy Gonzales (Pamela); nieces: Melissa Gonzales (Ricardo), Tatitianna Fresquez; nephews; Stephen Torres (Taylor), Dwight Torres II, Paul Sandoval II, Carlos Sandoval, Noah Gonzales; great-nephews and niece: Isaac Yara, Abran Butler, Emilio, Elsie and Eliana Torres; mother of his daughter, Neva; aunts and uncles, cousins and many friends.
Cremation ha taken place. Services will be held on Thursday, March 13, 2025 at Our Lady of Sorrows Church with a rosary at 9:00 a.m. followed by the Mass of Christian Burial.
