Ariel Renee Esther Salazar

Ariel Renee Esther Salazar went to be an Angel with our dear Lord on May 3, 2012. She was surrounded by her loving family and friends at the UNMH Hospital in Albuquerque, NM.
Baby Ariel was born on February 13, 2012. She is survived by her loving parents, Linda R. Maldonado and James J. Salazar; her brothers, John T. Fernandez and Isaiah Z. Salazar; maternal grandparents, Rosa Maldonado and David Lucero, Robert and Marjorie Martinez; maternal great-grandparents, Balbina G. And Manuel R. Maldonado, Apolonio and Edna Martinez; paternal grandparents, Joe and Angela Salazar; paternal great-grandparents, Elivra Lujan and Ramon Flores, Sofia and the late Jose Salazar; godparents, Estella Lujan and Santiago Yara; and numerous loving aunts, uncles, family and friends.
Services will be held from the First Baptist Church, 201 Mountain View Drive with a prayer service on Tuesday, May 8, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday morning, May 9, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. Pastor Gabriel Ortiz of the Community Lighthouse Church will officiate. The interment will follow in the Santo Nino Cemetery in Canoncito de los Manuelitas, NM. Casket bearers will be Santiago Yara, Leroy Salazar, Israel Maldonado, and David Gonzales. Honorary bearers will be her aunts and uncles, her brothers, family and friends. A special thanks to family and friends who have donated money and time. Also special thanks to the UNM Staff, doctors, nurses, ECMO Team for being there with us in our time of need.
