Arturo M. Sandoval, 80, a resident of San Ysidro, New Mexico passed away on Thursday, May 21, 2026 at his home. He was preceded in death by his parents: Rosendo and Rosarita Sandoval; his spouse Senida Sandoval; his son Paul Sandoval; and siblings: Evaristo (Tito) Sandoval, Valentina (Tina) Gallegos, Celedonio (Cele) Sandoval.
He is survived by his sisters: Flora Valdez of Las Vegas, New Mexico, Rebecca Gonzales of San Ysidro Norte, New Mexico, Valeria Gonzales of Colorado; one brother, Rosendo Sandoval, Jr. and Viola Sandoval of San Ysidro Norte, New Mexico.
He was born June 15, 1945 in San Ysidro Norte, New Mexico and was involved in Waste Management in Colorado and Albuquerque, Glorieta Baptist Center, and the Pecos River Learning Center. He enjoyed pinon picking, gambling, and hanging out with his buddies. He loved animals, especially his cats and dogs.
Services will be held on Thursday, June 4, 2026 at the San Miguel Del Vado Church in San Miguel, New Mexico with a rosary at 10:00 a.m. followed by the Mass of Christian Burial. Father Vincent Dominguez will celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial. The interment will follow in the San Ysidro Labrador Cemetery with the following nephews serving as casket bearers: James Gonzales, Joshua Gonzales, Marvin Gonzales, Nestor Gonzales, Clarence Sanchez, and Brian Sandoval.
