Beatrice M Benavidez

Beatrice M. Benavidez, 86, a resident of Las Vegas, passed away on Sunday, December 9, 2007 at Alta Vista Regional Hospital. She was preceded in death by her parents, Nabor and Anna Maria Pacheco Rodarte; her two husbands, Rudolfo Garcia and Onesimo Benavidez; a son, Phillip Robert Benavidez, and a granddaughter, Michelle Sedillo.She is survived by two daughters: Anna Marie Sedillo and husband Dave of Las Vegas, NM and Margaret Rose Ziegler and husband George of Cleveland, NM; a niece, Margaret Sanchez of Las Vegas, NM; two cousins, John Singletary and wife Tina of Las Vegas, NM and Aurora and Eloy Gonzales of Rawlins, WY; a friend, Florito Martinez of Las Vegas, NM; 8 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren.She was born in Mora, New Mexico on May 27, 1921. She was a member of the VFW Women's Auxiliary and was a licensed practical nurse at the New Mexico State Hospital for 25 years. She enjoyed the casinos, reading, and her grandchildren. Cremation has already taken place.Services will be held at Our Lady of Sorrows Church with a rosary this evening at 7:00 p.m. and the Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated on Thursday morning at 9:00 a.m. The interment will follow at a later date.
