BEATRICE QUINTANA
Beatrice Quintana, 90, a life long resident of the Las Vegas area, passed away at Alta Vista Regional Hospital on Tuesday following an extended illness. She was preceded in death by her parents, Sotero and Juanita Yara Montoya; her husband, Lorenzo Quintana; a brother, Moises Montoya; a sister-in-law, Irene Montoya; a brother-in-law, Selustriano Salazar; and nephews Mark Montoya and Matthew Montoya. She was a member of Our Lady of Sorrows Church.She is survived by two brothers: Lorenzo Montoya of Rociada, NM and Manuel de Montoya and wife Modesta of LaSalle, CO; two sisters, Marina Salazar of Greeley, CO, and Maria P. Montoya of Saramento, CA; several nieces and nephews; and special friends, Filomena Padilla and Deluvina Gallegos. She was born in Sapello, New Mexico on August 30, 1916. He husband, Lorenzo Quintana preceded her in death in 1988.A visitation will be held today from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. in St. Francis Chapel at Gonzales Funerals & Cremations, 2315 Hot Springs Blvd.. Services will be held at Our Lady of Sorrows Church with a rosary this evening at 7:00 p.m. and the Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated by Father C. John Brasher on Friday at 9:00 a.m. The interment will follow in the San Ysidro Catholic Cemetery near Manuelitas, NM. On Online condolences can be sent to the family at www.gonzalesfunerals.com.
