Daniel "Danny Garcia, Jr., 22, a resident of Las Vegas and who had been living in Albuquerque for the past three years, passed away on Saturday as a result of a car accident near Romeroville, NM. He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents: Arcenio & Margaret Montoya, Ramon and Quirina Archuleta, Ernesto and Caroline Garcia, and Manuel and Maria Tafoya; an uncle George Salaz; and cousins: Michelle Gonzales, Julius Garcia, Emilio Garcia, and Rachael Gallegos. He is survived by his fiancé, Andalicia Casaus and son, Kane Edward Garcia of Albuquerque, NM; his father, Danny Garcia Sr. of Mora, NM; his mother, Debra Garcia and companion Simon of Las Vegas, NM; a sister, Terri Padilla and husband Gary and special nephew Joshua of Las Vegas, NM; brother, Andres Garcia of Las Vegas, NM; maternal grandparents: Manuel and Gloria Archuleta of Las Vegas, NM who helped raised him; paternal grandparents: Mike and Dolores Garcia of Mora, NM and Flavio and Terri Romero of Las Vegas, NM; aunt, Glenna Ortega and family of Las Vegas, NM; aunt Virginia Salaz and companion Rudy and family; special uncle, Manuel Archuleta Jr. and wife Marsha and family of Las Vegas, NM; godfather, Steve Ortega of Albuquerque, NM; an uncle, Victor Garcia and wife Alicia and family of Mora, NM; aunt Eileen Romero and husband Manuel and family of Las Vegas, NM; fiancés mother, Sandra and companion Rich of Albuquerque, NM; fiancés father Louie and wife Anna and fiancés sister Catalina all of Albuquerque, NM; He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. Danny was born in Las Vegas, NM on May 27, 1986. He attended both Robertson and West Las Vegas High School. He was an avid rodeo participant and enjoyed going to 4-H rodeos. He liked the mudbogs, hunting, fishing, playing cards. He was an awesome father and son and loved the outdoors. He was a card dealer at the Santa Ana Star Casino in Bernalillo, NM. and he helped support his family. Services will be held at Our Lady of Sorrows Church with a rosary on Wednesday evening at 7:00 p.m. and the Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated on Thursday morning at 9:00 a.m. Father C. John Brasher will celebrate the Mass. The interment will follow in the San Jose Cemetery. Online condolences can be sent to the family at www.gonzalesfunerals.com.
