Dolores C. "Lola" (Castillo) Lucero

Dolores (Lola) Lucero, a life long resident of Las Vegas, passed away at Christus St. Vincent Hospital in Santa Fe, NM on Friday. She was preceded in death by her parents: Calistero and Ofelia Gallegos Castillo and her husband Leopoldo Lucero. She is survived by two daughters: Eva Torrez of Albuquerque, NM and Sandra Baca and Jose of Las Vegas, NM; five sons: Ralph Lucero and wife Clorinda of Grants, NM, Daniel Lucero and wife Marcella of San Rafael, NM, Leopoldo Lucero of Las Vegas, NM and John and Julian Lucero and wife Andra Arellanes-Lucero all of Albuquerque, NM; 14 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren.
She was an Avon distributor for many years and worked for the San Miguel County Nutrition Program. She was a devout catholic and was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church and a member of the Sacred Heart League. She loved to crochet and sew.
Services will be held from the Immaculate Conception Church on Monday, March 11, 2013, beginning with a rosary and 9:00 a.m. followed by the Mass of Christian Burial. Father George V. Salazar will celebrate the Mass. The interment will follow in the family plot in Mt. Calvary Cemetery with the following serving as casket bearers: Martin Torrez, Phillip Lucero, Kurtis Baca, Tatiana Lucero, Freddie Gutierrez, and Ralph E. Lucero.
