Eddie Madrid, 72, passed away at his home in Trujillo, NM on September 29, 2024. He was born in Pueblo, Colorado on May 21, 1952 to Joe and Aurora Madrid. He lived in Clovis, NM most of his years and later relocated to Trujillo, NM where he retired. He was and excellent welder in his early years and worked for A & M Welding Company, and other trades, construction, carpentry, landscaping, maintenance, and a ranch hand. He enjoyed the outdoors, nature, fishing, farming, hunting, loved dancing and listening to music. He lived in Trujillo where he found it to be a place of peace loving the ranch life. There he helped his primo, Fred Romero who was his right hand man as they both enjoyed going to the sales barn for cattle and working the farm together in Trujillo. Fred and Pam were there for Eddie. They took good care of him. The family would like to thank them for all they did for their loving brother.
He was preceded in death by his loving parents, his father Joe Madrid and mother Aurora Romero Madrid; brothers Art and Larry Madrid; nephews: Matt Tenorio, Mark Madrid and a brother-in-law, Teddy Bargas. He is survived by his only son, Jody Ray Madrid and grandchildren; six sisters: Theresa (Sonny Chavez), Sylvia Merline Bargas, Mary (Matthew Tenorio), Ruth Madrid, Diane Madrid, and Gloria Madrid, and a brother Joe Madrid. He leaves his beloved aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews, cousins, and many friends.
A Celebration of Life will take place in Trujillo, NM on Saturday, October 26, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. and a meal will follow where loved ones will share their memories and enjoy fellowship.
