Eliza Esquibel

Eliza Esquibel, 86, a longtime resident of Las Vegas, NM went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 14, 2011. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Orlando S. Esquibel; her daughter, Ignacita S. Esquibel; and her son, John Esquibel. She is survived by two daughters: Frances Garcia and husband Ralph of Las Vegas, NM and Ramona Torres of Albuquerque, NM; her son, Orlando Esquibel and wife Audrey of Albuquerque, NM; nine grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren and numerous god-children.
She went to school in Las Vegas, NM and married the love of her life, Orlando and moved to Albuquerque for 35 years and then they returned to their beloved Las Vegas. Eliza was active at the senior citizens where she enjoyed meeting her friends for crafting. She spent the last eight years living with her daughter, Frances and son-in-law Ralph . A special thanks to her care givers, Mary Gonzales, Edith Varela and Stella Garcia.
All services will be held from Our Lady of Sorrows Church in Las Vegas, NM with a rosary on Monday evening at 7:00 p.m., July 18, 2011. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday morning, July19, 2011 at 9:00 a.m. The interment will follow in the family plot in Mt. Calvary Cemetery with the following grandchildren serving as casket bearers: Damian Esquibel, Diego Esquibel, Daniel Garcia, Abraham Garcia, Gabriel Garcia, and Randy Torrex. Honorary bearers will be her great-grandchildren
