ELLERY NASH PENA
Ellery Nash Pena, 55, a resident of Las Vegas, NM passed away in St. Vincent Hospital in Santa Fe on Sunday. He was preceded in death by his father, Alfred Pena; his grandfather, Shorty Flores; his grandmother, Aurora Flores; and a sister, Carmen Pena.He is survived by his wife Viola Pena of Las Vegas; one daughter, Annette Garza and husband Paul of Tecolote; one son, Ellery Pena Jr. and companion Monique Lovato of Las Vegas; his mother, Margie Pena of Las Vegas; four sisters, Petra Ulibarri, Patsy Vigil, Jessica Salas, and Mary Jean Romero and husband Orlando all of Las Vegas; one brother, George Flores of Las Vegas; three grandchildren, James and Angel Garza and Amor Manzanares. Ellery was raised by Leroy Salas of Las Vegas. He is also survived by his compadres Francisco and Hilda Ramirez of Las Vegas; a god-daughter, Patsy Medina and a god-son, Raul Ramirez of Las Vegas and numerous primos and primas.He was born here in Las Vegas on November 5, 1951. He was a auto mechanic by trade and played the drums with Junior Abeyta and "La Banda Allegre". He enjoyed fishing and hunting and was a member of the Sociedad de Nuestro Padre Jesus.Cremation has already taken place and services will be held at Our Lady of Sorrows Church with a rosary on this evening at 7:00 p.m. and the Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated on Friday morning at 9:00 a.m. The interment will follow in the San Jose Cemetery.
