Ernest G. "Ernie" Gutierrez

Ernest G. Gutierrez, 59, a resident of Romeroville, NM, passed away on Friday, September 11, 1009. He was preceded in death by his father, Juan Antonio Gutierrez; and brothers Joe, Bernabe, and Regino Gutierrez.
He is survived by three daughters: Angela Sena and husband Lorenzo of Platte City, MO, Andrea Gutierrez of Las Vegas, NM, and Audra Hernandez of Ft. Walton Beach, FL; his mother, Victoria Gutierrez of Las Vegas, NM; four brothers: Eddie Gutierrez and companion Dolores Apodaca and Fred Gutierrez all of Las Vegas, NM, Steve Gutierrez and wife Verna of Rio Rancho, NM, and Dennis Gutierrez of Albuquerque, NM; three sisters: Cindy Gutierrez of Albuquerque, NM, Mary Gutierrez Benavidez of Las Vegas, NM, and Helen Gutierrez and companion Benjie of Albuquerque, NM; one granddaughter, Maria Hernandez of Ft. Walton Beach, FL; and by numerous nieces and nephews.
Ernie as he was affectionately known, was born in Las Vegas, NM on December 10, 1949. He graduated from Robertson High School and enlisted on in the U. S. Army on May 9, 1969. He served in Vietnam and retired from the U. S Army with the rank of sergeant in the U. S. Army National Guard. He owned and operated the Double E Auto Parts Store.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, September 17, 2009 in St. Francis Chapel at Gonzales Funerals & Cremations, 2315 Hot Springs Blvd. from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. Services will be held at the Immaculate Conception Church with a rosary on Thursday evening at 7:00 p.m. and the Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated on Friday afternoon at 2:00 p. m. The interment will follow in St. Anthony's Cemetery. Serving as casket bearers will be his brothers: Eddie, Fred, Steve and Dennis Gutierrez, and Nash Trujillo, and Gilbert Sandoval.
