FELICIANO "PHIL" FERNANDEZ
Feliciano A. "Phil" Fernandez, 68 a resident of Taos, NM and formerly of Los Hueros, NM, passed away on Tuesday at St. Vincent Hospital in Santa Fe. He was preceded in death by his father, Alfredo Fernandez; his paternal grandparents Frank and Altagracia Fernandez; his maternal grandparents, Pedro and Elena Bernal; brothers: Albino, Frank, and Eusebio Fernandez; sisters: Elena, Lucy, and Nora Fernandez; a nephew, Matthew Armijo; a niece, Clarabelle Fernandez; uncles: Juan Fernandez, Joe Casias, Leo Mascarenas, Larry Bernal, Samuel Pacheco, and Gabino Bernal; aunts: Manuelita Casias, Mercy Fernandez, Elena Cantu, and Rosa Pacheco.
He is survived by his mother, Maclovia Bernal Fernandez of Ocate, NM; his companion, Alice Maestas of Taos, NM; seven brothers, Edward Fernandez and wife Shirley and George Fernandez and wife Erlinda all of Encinal, NM, Lawrence Fernandez and Carlota Maestas of Canoncito, NM, Michael Fernandez and wife Jeanne of Guadalupita, NM, Patrick Fernandez and Joanne Pacheco, James Fernandez and Susie Pacheco, and Pete Fernandez all of Los Hueros, NM; five sisters, Mary Grace Sanchez



and husband Orlando of Krimling, CO, Betty Romero and husband David of Cleveland, NM, Bertha Martinez and husband Jimmy of Buena Vista, NM, Linda Trujillo and husband Danny of Cleveland, NM, and Janet Fernandez and husband Bobby of Las Vegas; one goddaughter, Jazlyn Martinez; two aunts, Cleo Mascarenas of Las Vegas, NM and Pita Bernal of Raton, NM, and by numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
He was born in Los Hueros, NM on February 15, 1939 and was a member of the Sociedad de Nuestro Padre Jesus and Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Ocate, NM.
All services will be held at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Ocate, NM with a visitation beginning at 2:00 p.m. followed by a rosary at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday May 26, 2007 at 12:00 noon. The interment will follow in the Nuesro Padre Jesus Cemetery in Los Hueros, NM with the following serving as casket bearers: Paul Maestas, Alvin Lucero, James Fernandez, Jamie Martinez, Gabriel Branchal, and Jody Armijo. Honorary bearers will be Leo Pacheco, Pete Fernandez, George Fernandez, Eddie Fernandez, and Daniel Trujillo. The eulogy will be delivered by Tony Martinez.
