FILIA LOPEZ de APODACA
Filia Lopez de Apodaca, 60, loving wife, daughter, mother, sister, and grandmother, passed away on Sunday at the University of New Mexico Hospital in Albuquerque. She was preceded in death by her mother, Josefita Griego; and a son, Pablo Lopez Sr; a sister, Mary Larranaga; brothers Ignacio, Eloy, and Alfonso Griego; a grandmother, Agneda Vigil; and a father-in-law; Ireneo Apodaca.; and a granddaughter, Megan Molina. She is survived by her husband of 30 years, Alfonso of Las Vegas; her father, Maxmilliano Griego of Ribera, NM; three daughters, Cynthia Lopez and fiancé Anthony Lucero of Albuquerque, Annette Ortega and husband James of La Manga, and Annissa Apodaca Pekoc and husband Samuel of Las Vegas; one sister, Maxine Sotello and husband Librado of Las Vegas; two brothers, Max Griego Jr. and wife Corine and Johnny Griego and wife Duella all of Alamogordo, NM;mother -in-law mida Apodaca of Las Vegas; sisters-in-law, Frances Gallegos and husband Lalo of Las Animas, CO, Rosabelle Lopez of San Miguel, and Emelda Gallegos and husband Rudy of Santa Fe; a brother-in-law, Michael Lopez and wife Gloria of Albuquerque; grandchildren Martin Molina, Jr. and Brianna Molina of Albuquerque, James Ortega III and wife Tasha of Anchorage, Alaska, Jaklynn Ortega and fiancé Eian, Joshua Ortega, and Jonah Ortega all of La Manga, Ashley Lopez, Felisha Lopez, Marrissa Pekoc, Pablo Pekoc, and Mercedes Pekoc all of Las Vegas; a great-great-grandson, Pablo Lopez of Las Vegas, and numerous nieces and nephews.Filia was born here in Las Vegas on November 15, 1945. She married Alfonso Apodaca in November of 1976. She worked in the San Miguel County Treasurers Office; she was a housing director for the City of Las Vegas; and attended beauty school in Santa Fe and was a osmetologist. For eleven years she was the transportation bookkeeper for the West Las Vegas Schools. She loved to crochet and enjoyed the casinos and internet shopping. She had a good sense of humor.A visitation will take place on Thursday from 10:00 am until 4:00 pm in St. Francis Chapel at Gonzales Funerals & Cremations. Services will be held at the Immaculate Conception Church with a rosary on Thursday evening at 7:00 p.m. and the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. on Friday.
