Frances E. (Trujillo) Abeyta

Frances E. Abeyta, 90, a resident of Cleveland, NM, passed away on Thursday following an extended illness. She was preceded in death by her parents, Telesfor and Emelia Tafoya Trujillo; sons: Rudy and Telesfor Abeyta; and a daughter-in-law, Gloria Garcia.
She is survived by her husband of 69 years, Alberto Abeyta of Cleveland, NM; two daughters: Dolores Emelia Tipton and husband Harry of Bosque Farms, NM and Ruby Elizabeth Blackwell and husband Larry of Socorro, NM; one son, Frank Abeyta and wife Lorraine of Bloomfield, NM; a daughter-in-law, Josie Abeyta of Santa Fe, NM; 14 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.
She was born in Ledoux, NM on June 17, 1922 and was untied in marriage to Alberto Abeyta on March 5, 1943 at St. Gertrude's Church in Mora, NM. A life long catholic, she was a member of St. Gertrude's Church in Mora, NM and was a member of the Legion of Mary. She was a devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother. She enjoyed gardening, canning, and crocheting and loved flowers and her animals.
A visitation will be held from St. Gertrude's Church in Mora, NM on Sunday, October 14, 2012 beginning at 6:00 p.m. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, October 15, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. Father James Sanchez will celebrate the Mass. The interment will follow in the San Antonio Cemetery in Cleveland, New Mexico.
