Frank Gene Madrid

            Frank Gene Madrid, 77, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 14, 2025.  He was born on August 29, 1947 in Oakland, California and grew up primarily in Villanueva, New Mexico.  Frank proudly served in the military for over 20 years.  First with the US Marines and then retiring from the US Coast Guard.

            He is preceded in death by his parents, Eusebio and Nina Madrid and beloved granddaughter Kayla.  He is survived by his children:  Matthew, Karen, and
Frank Jr. all from Albuquerque; his grandchildren:  Michael and wife Liz and son Sean of Ashburn, Va, Esias, Frankie and Maria of Albuquerque, NM; and his cherished cat, Trixie; many nieces and nephews, and friends.

  Services will be held at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Villanueva, NM with a Rosary on Thursday, March 27, 2025 at 7:00 p.m. followed by the Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, March 28, 2025 at 10:00 a.m.  Father Vincent Dominguez will celebrate the Mass.  The interment will follow in Our Lady of Guadalupe Cemetery with the following serving as casket bearers: Matthew Madrid, Michael LaForte, Sean La Forte, David Madrid, Richard Villanueva, and Sammy Villanueva.
