Glenna S. (Gold) Martinez

Glenna S. Martinez, 55, a resident of Las Vegas, NM, passed away on Tuesday, October 10, 2023 at the Presbyterian Hospital in Santa Fe, NM.  She was preceded in death by her two sons, Nathan and Lucas Martinez, and her father, Orlando Gold.  She is survived by her husband, Joe of the family home; a daughter Kianna Martinez and companion Justin Dimas of Las Vegas, NM; her mother, Beatrice Gold of Las Vegas, NM;  a brother, Orlando Gold, Jr. and his wife Krista of La Manga, NM; her father-in-law, Joseph Martinez of Las Vegas, NM; her mother-in-law, Emma Martinez and father-in-law, Cleto Molina both of Tecolote, NM; a sister-in-law Jolene Archuleta of Albuquerque, NM; and three grandchildren:  Kaisley, Cyrie, and Abree Dimas all of Las Vegas, NM; a nephew, Mateo Gold and a niece, Ameree Gold.  She was born in Las Vegas, NM on September 3, 1968.  She graduated from West Las Vegas High School and was a secretary at Don Cecilio Elementary School for over 24 years.  She just retired from the school four months ago.  She enjoyed cooking, going to the casinos and taking care of her grandchildren.

            Cremation has taken place and the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, October 27, 2023 at 9:00 a.m. by Father Rob Yaksich at Our Lady of Sorrows Church.  She will be laid to rest with her two sons in Mt. Calvary Cemetery following the Mass.
