Jeannine T. Martinez, 78, a life long resident of Mora, NM, passed away on Wednesday evening at Alta Vista Regional Hospital following a sudden illness. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank L. and Josephine Strong Trambley; her husband, Ernesto Martinez; a daughter, Francine M. Maes; two sons: Lawrence A. Martinez and Glen R. Martinez; a grandson, Duane F. Maes; and father and mother-in laws, Francisco and Luisita Martinez.She is survived by three daughters: Amy Martinez-Duran and husband Mario M. and Josephine M. Vigil and husband Benjamin R. all of Mora, NM, and Marian B. Olivas and husband J. D. of Holman, NM; two sons: F. Leon Martinez of Albuquerque, NM and Kenneth R. Martinez and wife Patricia of Las Vegas, NM; one brother, Frank C. "Decky" Trambley and wife Delicia of Mora, NM; one sister, Margaret "Gayle" Lester and husband Charles of Alexandria, Kentucky; three sisters-in-law: Julia Chavez and Rita DeLeon and husband Juan all of Albuquerque, NM and Terry Romero and husband Flavio of Las Vegas, NM; 21 grandchildren and numerous great and great-great-grandchildren.She was a devoted catholic and was a member of St. Gertrude Church in Mora and was a member of St. Gertrude Altar Society. She was also a participant of various religious organizations in the past. She was deeply dedicated to her family whom surrounded her at all times. Together with her husband they owned and operated the Strong and Trambley Grocery Store and "The Lounge" in Mora. She also enjoyed being with her family at the casinos.All services will be held at St. Gertrude Catholic Church in Mora with a rosary on Sunday evening at 7:00 p.m. and the Mass of Christian Burial to follow on Monday morning at 10:00 a.m. Serving as casketbearers will be her grandchildren: Dante and Darryl Vigil, Dale and Dion Maes, Eric, Lawrence "Bear" and Charles Martinez, Adam and Glen Olivas, and Tyler, Brandon and Leon A. Martinez.. Eulogies will be delivered by her grandchildren: Charles Martinez and Brenda Garduno. Cremation will take place after the services and the interment will be private at a later date. The family as requested that memorials in her memory be sent to St. Gertrude Catholic Church Building Fund.
