Johnnie Dean Dubray

Johnnie Dean Dubray, 69, of Las Vegas, NM, passed away on Friday, May 14, 2010 at his home following a brief illness. He was born in Monarch, Colorado to the late Ferno and Marguerite Dubray Jr. On January 31, 1941.
Johnnie lived in Las Vegas for the past twenty-two years and worked as an Automotive and Transmission Technician. During his career, he worked in many places including Garland, Texas, Tampa, Florida, Denver Colorado, and Guymon, Oklahoma. He was a long time friend of the late Manuel Montano Sr.and his wife Rita Montano. He was an honorary member of the Montano family. He enjoyed gold dredging, fishing and spending time with friends. He loved animals, working on vehicles, and reminiscing on old times.
In addition to his parents, Johnnie was preceded in death by his brother, Bobby Joe Dubray; his sister, Mary Grace Dubray-Olson and his niece, Carlene Olson. He is survived by his brother, Ferno Dubray III and wife Alleen Dubray of Coolidge, Arizona; and his three children: Dean Nelson Dubray, Tammie Dee Dubray, and Terry Scott Dubray. He will be greatly missed by his long time friends: Steve Montano, Manuel Montano Jr., Joseph LeSperence, Kendi Montano, Steve Montano Jr., Justin Estrada and all their families whom took part in his care.
Cremation has taken place and a memorial rosary will be recited on Wednesday, May 19, 2010 at 6:00 p.m. from St. Francis Chapel at Gonzales Funerals & Cremations, 2315 Hot Springs Blvd. The interment will take place at a later date.
