Lawrence "Larry" D. Martinez

Lawrence D. “Larry Martinez, 63, a lifelong resident of Las Vegas, NM passed away at Vida Encantada Nursing and Rehab Center on Thursday,, November 22, 2018.  He was preceded in death by his parents Donald A. “Tiny” Martinez and his wife Eloise Scott Martinez; and a brother, Dennis Martinez.

He is survived by one son, Christopher Martinez of Las Vegas, NM; one daughter, Ruth Ann Creel of Phoenix, AZ; two sisters:  Linda M. Montoya of Las Vegas, NM and Lisa R. Martinez of Longmont, CO; two brothers:  Steve Martinez of Las Vegas, NM and Greg A. Martinez and wife Karen Carter of Dunkirk, MD; three granddaughters:  Valaree Maria Martinez, Illiana Martinez, and Krystina Martinez.

He was born here in Las Vegas, NM on December 4, 1954 and graduated from West Las Vegas High School.   He specialized in small machine repairs and worked at Price’s Ilfeld Hardware and Furniture Co for quite a number of years.  He enjoyed fishing as a hobby.

A rosary will be recited by the Hermanos from the Sociedad de Nuestro Padre Jesus  on Saturday, December 1, 2018 at 7:00 p.m.at Our Lady of Sorrows Church. The interment of his cremains will take place later on in the Spring.
