LeRoy Inocencio Lovato

August 3, 1947 ~ January 21, 2009 (age 61) 61 Years Old
LeRoy Inocencio Lovato, 61, a life-long resident of Holman, NM passed away on January 21, 2009. LeRoy was born in Holman, NM on August 3, 1947 to Inocencio and Marie Lovato. He attended St. Gertrudes School for a portion of his education and graduated from Mora High School. LeRoy was a veteran of the U. S. Army. He retired from Luna vocational Technical Institute after 18 years as a maintenance worker. He was also a hard working construction worker/cement finisher for most of his life prior to working at the college and then again after he retired. In August, 1974 LeRoy met his soul mate, Josie Lovato, whom he married three months later on November 30, 1974. One year later their first baby girl was born and LeRoy was a proud father. Three years later, one year after another, their three other children were born. It was then that LeRoy was filled with true happiness. God had blessed him with a wonderful family who became his pride and joy. LeRoy was a family man and always made sure his family was safe and had everything they needed to be happy. The one thing that will always remind us of LeRoy are the mountains and the outdoors. He truly loved the outdoor country life, the fresh air and the freedom at the ranch. He enjoyed going up the mountains to hunt, to get wood and to take his family camping. He had lots of cows and took care of them and his other animals like they were his children. LeRoy was a well liked and respected man. LeRoy was the type of man you could depend on and would always be there to lend a helping hand to family, friends or anyone in need. LeRoy will be greatly missed by all, but never forgotten. Leroy is survived by his beloved wife and mother of his children, Josie Lovato of Holman, NM; his children Elizabeth Bustos and husband Ben of Albuquerque, NM, Frances Lovato and fiancée Carlos Moya of Santa Fe, NM, Flavio Lovato and Francine of Albuquerque, and Daniel Lovato of Las Vegas, NM; grandchildren: Esmeralda Lovato, Ashley Valdez, and Angelina Moya.
