LUCILLE ARMIJO
Lucille Armijo, beloved wife, mother, grandmothe, rgreat-grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away on Saturday at Alta Vista Regional Hospital. She was preceded in death by her parents, Matias and Margaret Jacolt Velasquez; her son, Secundino Armijo, her brother, Benny Velasquez; her mother-in-law, Merlinda Armijo; and a granddaughter, Ashley Carlene Armijo.She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Juan Armijo Jr. of Las Vegas; three sons, John Paul Armijo, Carl Armijo, and Richard Armijo all of Las Vegas; grandchildren: Monica Armijo and Jessica Armijo and their mother Margaret Armijo, Lesley Armijo, Ashley Carlene Armijo, Karley Jo Armijo, Marcus John Armijo and their mother, Karen Armijo, Therese Sedillo, Crissy Sedillo, Richard Anthony Armijo II and their mother, Eileen Sedillo; one great-grandson, Brandon Antonio Padilla and father Jovan Padilla,; one brother, Joe Velasquez and wife Frances of El Paso, TX; sisters, Emma Roybal and husband Isidro, Betsy Coca, and Flora Ann Hoffman all of Albuquerque, Tillie Fowler of Maryland, Betty Martinez and Judy Gallegos both of Las Vegas, Mary Sisneros of California, and Maxine Sisneros and her mother Lena Velasquez and husband Manuel of Santa Fe; special friends, Grace Montoya, Marcella Vigil, Lily Lopez; special nieces, Debby Mascarenas and Mary Armijo, and special nephews, Lonnie Bennett and Bobby Armijo. She was born here in Las Vegas on October 29, 1934 and was united in marriage to Juan Armijo Jr. on January 11, 1957 in Santa Fe, New Mexico. She was a devoted mother and was devoted to her family. She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church. Cremation has already taken place and services will be held at the Immaculate Conception Church with a rosary at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday and the Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated on Wednesday at 9:00 a.m. The interment will be at a later date.On line condolences can be sent to the family at www.gonzalesfunerals.com.
