With great sadness we announce the passing of our beloved Lucille “Chila” Gallegos Martinez. She was born August 3, 1956 in Las Vegas, New Mexico.
Chila as everyone knew, was known for her jokes and for helping anyone in need. She was one to give to many and help anyone whom she came in contact with.
Chila was preceded in death by her parents, Augustine and Emma Gallegos Santillanes, her husband Jimmy Martinez, her sons Pablo “Diablo” Martinez and Patrick Martinez, two brothers, Raymond “Peanuts” Gallegos and Ruben “Sol” Gallegos, nephew Gabriel Gallegos, nieces Christina “Tina” Gallegos and Judy Padilla.
Chila leaves behind a family she loved and cared for, in any way she could. Surviving her are her daughter, Lori Moreno and husband Joseph. Stepchildren, James Martinez (Lisa), David Martinez (Geraldine), and Edith Martinez. Her grandchildren, Christopher, Johnathan, Josh, Joseph Jr., Destiny, Tenielle, Katheline, Taylor, Adelaida, Pablo, and Alicia. She is also survived by eight step-grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren one being the light of her day, Alijah. Alijah looked forward to going to visit grandma Chila. He made her day as she made his.
