MANUEL "MELITO" JARAMILLO

Manuel "Melito" Jaramillo, 69, a life long resident of Las Vegas, passed away on Saturday. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jacobo and Margarita Tapia Jaramillo and a niece, Arlita Lopez. He is survived by one daughter, Lisa Montoya of Bernalillo, NM; two sons, Julian Jaramillo and wife Bernadette of Las Vegas and Raul Martinez of Manuelitas, NM; four sisters: Conferina Martinez and husband Antonio, Betty Garcia and husband Ernest, and Isabel Archuleta all of Las Vegas, and Priscilla Romero and husband Albert of San Leandro, CA; a sister-in-law, Dora Jaramillo of Las Vegas; eight grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and by numerous nieces and nephews."Melito" as he was affectionately called, enjoyed fishing, loved walking and going for wood and enjoyed sports activities. Cremation has taken place and a rosary will be recited on Wednesday evening at 7:00 p.m. from St. Francis Chapel at Gonzales Funerals & Cremations, 2315 Hot Springs Blvd. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday morning at 9:00 a.m. from Our Lady of Sorrows Church.
