Marcella M Encinias

Marcella M. Encinias, 86, a resident of Las Vegas, passed away on Sunday at Alta Vista Regional Hospital. She was preceded in death by her parents, Juan and Isabel Armijo Gutierrez; three brothers: Alfredo, Dan, and Isidro Gutierrez; a sister, Estella Lovato; a sister-in-law, Guadalupe Gutierrez; and one great-great grandchild, Jason Josh Esquibel.She is survived by two daughters: Thelma Varela and husband Raymond and Priscilla Ortiz and husband Joe all of Las Vegas; eight grandchildren: Yvonne Baca and husband Quirino, Yvette Varela, Raymond Varela Jr., Sil Valerie Ortiz (Vigil), Joseph Ortiz and wife Viola, Jewell Ortiz (Sandoval), Dario Ortiz and companion Candace Gonzales, and Reyes Montoya; fourteen great-grandchildren: Ashley Baca, Keith, Kayla, and Kenneth Tarr, Nathan Vigil, Angelica Montoya, Joseph G. and Alyssa Ortiz, Timothy Ortiz, James Sandoval, Amaya, Isaiah, and Jeslyn Ortiz, and Julianne Lucero; two sisters-in-law, Rita Gutierrez of Las Vegas, NM and Olivia Gutierrez of Albuquerque; and by numerous nieces and nephews.A visitation will be held today from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. in St. Francis Chapel at Gonzales Funerals & Cremations, 2315 Hot Springs Blvd. All services will be held at Our Lady of Sorrows Church with at rosary this evening at 7:00 p.m. and the Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated on Wednesday morning at 9:00 a.m. The interment will follow in the San Jose Cemetery. Father C. John Brasher will celebrate the Mass.
