Margie Purcell Lovato, 71, a life long resident of Las Vegas, passed away at the Denver Health Center in Denver, Colorado on Saturday following a sudden illness.She was preceded in death by her parents, Tony and Celia Montoya; a brother Frank Montoya, and a cousin, George Montoya.She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Tony M. Lovato of the family home here in Las Vegas; one daughter, Theresa Duran and her husband John of Las Vegas; three sons, Ernest Lovato and wife Mary, James Robert Lovato and wife Lydia, and Frank Lovato and wife Christina all of Las Vegas, NM; five grandchildren, Christina Duran and companion William, Brittany Lovato, Ashley Lovato, Christopher Lovato, and Celia Lovato; sisters-in-law: Guadalupe Sena, Betty Goke and husband Albert, and Martha Griego and husband John all of Las Vegas, and Frances Ciddio of Albuquerque, NM; a brother-in-law, Anselmo Ciddio of Santa Fe, NM; and special cousins, nephews, nieces, and many special friends.She graduated from West Las Vegas High School and married Tony M. Lovato on January 20, 1958 here in Las Vegas. She was employed by the West Las Vegas School System and was a cook there for 25 years. She retired in 1999. She loved cooking and taking care of her grandkids. A life long catholic, she was a member of Our Lady of Sorrows Church.Cremation has taken place and services will be held at Our Lady of Sorrows Church with a rosary on Thursday evening at 7:00 p.m. and the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 9:00 a.m. Father C. John Brasher will celebrate the Mass. The interment will follow in the San Jose Cemetery.
