Maria E. (Pacheco) Ulibarri

Mary E. Ulibarri, 83, a resident of Las Vegas, NM, passed away on Saturday, March 18, 2023 in the arms of her loving family.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Ulibarri; and her parents,  Antonio and Bernadita Pacheco.  She is survived by three daughters:  Gloria Ulibarri, Corrine Romero (Nick), and Annie Tapia (Ronald); two sons:  Valentin Ulibarri (Darlene) and Reynaldo Ulibarri; a sister, Rose Martinez; a brother Mauricio Pacheco (Mary); a sister-in-law Victoria Ulibarri; and special friends: Aurora Baca and Lorraine Romero; grandchildren:  Michael and Derrick Barela, Peter and Bernice Ulibarri, Cynthia and Lee Ann Romero, Nicholas and Alicia Romero, Lawrence and Lee Ann Trujillo, Manuel and Miranda, Jacob and Angela, Ronald Tapia , Rey and Amy Ulibarri,  Michelle and Danny Garduno, Tony Marie Nobel, Tami Jo and Christopher Torres, Tela Lee and Aaron Royston, many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

She was born in Chapelle, NM on July 20. 1939.  She was an active member of Our Lady of Sorrows Church.  She and her husband Frank served as mayordomos at the Church for 14 years. 

she was an avid West Las Vegas Dons fan. The family want to give special thanks to Amercare Hospice and the staff at Alta Vista Hospital.

            Services will be held at Our Lady of Sorrows Church with a rosary on Tuesday, March 21, 2023 at 7:00 p.m.  The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, March 12, 2023 at 9:00 a.m.  Father Rob Yaksich will celebrate the Mass.  The interment will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery with the following serving as casket bearers:  Michael Barela, Peter Ulibarri, Lawrence Trujillo, Rey Ulibarri, and Angelo Roybal.  Honorary bearers will be Ronald Tapia, Derrick Barela, and Nicholas Romero.  In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorials be made to The Building Fund at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, 403 Valencia, Las Vegas, NM 87701 in her memory.
