Mary Aurora Delgado

Mary Aurora Delgado, a long time resident of Las Vegas, passed away at the Specialty Hospital in Albuquerque on Sunday evening. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ramon and Alberta Padilla Garcia; her in-laws, Jose and Corina Delgado; a nephew, Tony Fulgenzi; aunts: Clorinda and Rita Padilla, Felelina Lucero, Leonore Montoya, and Rosa Lopez; and a great-nephew, Junio Lopez.She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Joe L. Delgado of the family home here in Las Vegas; a sister, Rachael Garcia of Santa Fe, NM; nieces: Yvette Garcia of Las Vegas and Martha Griego and husband Michael of Santa Fe, NM; a nephew, Tony Garcia of Phoenix, AZ; grand nieces: Maria Griego and Michelle Griego of Santa Fe, NM; grand nephews: Marcus Garcia of Las Vegas, NM, Anthony Garcia of Phoenix, AZ, Arthur A. Garcia of Farmington, NM, Dominic Garcia of Las Vegas, NM; and close friends, Tony and Tillie Escudero and family, Judy Gallegos, Mary Warsaw, Clara Alvarado, Evelyn Lujan, Kenneth Ludi, and Lee Norman Gonzales.
She graduate from the Las Vegas High School and the Regina School of Nursing in Albuquerque where she received her RN degree. She worked at St. Anthony Hospital and was an office nurse for Dr. Laslo Zold, M.D. After her marriage to Joe on July 21, 1962 she and her husband ran the 77 Package Liquor Store on South Pacific Street. All services will be held at Our Lady of Sorrows Church with a rosary on Wednesday evening at 7:00 p.m and the Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated on Thursday morning at 9:00 a.m. Cremation will follow and interment services will be held a later date. Memorials may be sent to the Heating and Air Conditioning Fund at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, 403 Valencia Avenue, Las Vegas, NM 87701.
