On January, 19, 2021, Mary Lou “Lulu” Gonzales Passed away in Las Vegas, NM. She was 88 years old. Born August 28, 1932

Lulu is survived by her adopted family: Cynthia Zaldivar-Martinez (Husband Shane), her children Alyssa Gomez, Kendra Zaldivar, and Leandra Valdez. Victor Morlet (Felisha), his children Bobby, Victor, Jaylynn. Sonia Vigil (Husband David), her children Elijah, Ashley, Leah, and Micah. Michael Zaldivar, Isaiah Miles Ortiz, Cruz Garcia, Matthew Silva, Rick Gonzales, Reymond Gonzales, and other nieces and nephews (Ortiz, Zaldivar, Neill, Brown, and Gonzalez Families).

She was preceded in death by sister Petra Quintana and Best friend Elsie H. Ortiz.

Lulu Graduated from Immaculate Conception High School and moved to California soon after graduation.

Lulu worked for Russells Super Save in the Deli, Vida Encantada as a cook, and as a Foster Grandma for Los Ninos elementary school.

Lulu enjoyed being a Foster Grandma and loved the teachers she worked with. She was Proud to be a Foster Grandma at Los Ninos. Lulu was a faithful friend to many. She loved watching the Raiders and the Dodgers play! Lulu had a enormous heart. She helped her best friend Elsie raise her grandchildren for many years. She consistantly gave of herself over and over again. Lulu was always around to help and love when she didn’t have to. She never shied away from challenges or difficult circumstances.

Lulu was more than a friend in our Family. She stood in as a Mother, a Grandma, and an aunt to us. From those of us who had the privilege of having Lulu raise us, scold us, and encourage us, We’re eternally grateful to have such an amazing person be a part of our family. We are forever grateful.

Lulu you were Loved! 

At Lulu’s request, there will be no memorial service. Instead, we will have a graveside service later in the year, and will announce the time and place when the time comes.
