MaryHelen Lucero, 51, a resident of Las Vegas, NM, passed away on Friday, January 30, 2026 at Lovelace Medical Center in Albuquerque, NM. She was preceded in death by her parents: Anna Lorraine Lucero and Richard Sedillo; her grandparents: Reynaldo Lucero and Ernestina Romero Lucero; her brother, Orlando Lucero, and an uncle Charles Lucero.
Mary is survived by her companion Joe De La O; her son, Michael Romero; and two daughters: Bianca Lucero and husband Leo and Alexandra De La O all of Las Vegas, NM. She is also survived by her brother, Richard Sedillo and companion Lindsey Montoya of Rio Rancho, NM; her sisters: Monica Maestas and husband Roy of Las Vegas, NM, Victoria Sedillo of Albuquerque, NM and Theresa Dearmon and husband Thomas of California, Maryland.
MaryHelen was bubbly and loving person who was known for her infectious smile and unforgettable laugh. She loved playing bingo, singing karaoke and she cherished every moment spent with her family especially her grandchildren. She was a devoted grandmother to her grandchildren whom she adored: Jayden, Briella, Dominic, and Elias. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephew whom she adored and treated as her own.
A visitation will be held in St. Francis Chapel at Gonzales Funerals & Cremations, 2315 Hot Springs Blvd. on Monday, February 9, 2026 from 2:00 until 4:00 pm. Services will follow from the Immaculate Conception Church with a rosary at 7:00 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, February 10, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. The interment will follow at a later date in the San Jose Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Fabian Maestas, Leo Santillanes, Roy Sedillo, Adrianne Maestas, Roylynn Maestas and Phillippe De La O. Honorary bearers will be
