Micah Israel Martinez

Micah Israel Martinez, 2, infant son of Justin and Mary Ann Martinez of Gason, NM, passed away on Tuesday. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Ramon Martinez; his great-grandfather Juan Felimon Martinez; three great grandmothers: Martina Martinez, Betty Wahman, and Guadalupita Lucero; and by two uncles: Anthony Maes and Chris Marquez.
He is survived by his parents, Justin & Mary Ann Martinez of Gascon, NM; a brother, Cruzito Padilla and a sister, Serenity Martinez all of Gascon, NM; his maternal grandmother, Paula Lucero of Las Vegas, NM; his paternal grandmother, Jean Martinez of Gascon, NM; paternal great-grandparents, Lyle and Maye Wahman of Webster City, Iowa; four aunts: Tammy Lujan and husband Lawrence and Leora Gomez and husband Patrick all of Mora, NM, Cheri McMillan and Shannon Martinez both of Las Vegas, NM; five uncles: Nathan Martinez and wife Roxanne, Ramon Martinez, and Jonathan Martinez all of Gascon, NM, Billy McMillan, and Joseph and Moses Martinez all of Las Vegas, NM; ten cousins: Gilberto and Makayla Mejia both of Las Vegas, NM, Marina Martinez, Ryan Martinez, Joseph Rue, Jennifer Rue, VenusGomez and Christopher Gomez all of Mora, NM, Nathan Martinez Jr.of Gascon, Iesha, Alexis, and Tatiana Mata of Del Rio, TX, and Michael Urias of Artesia, NM. Honorary grandparents were Jerry Nailor and Carol Flores of Gascon, NM; and by other relatives. A special thanks and gratitude to Juan F. Martinez for his contribution to the family. Micah was born on March 6, 2009 in Las Vegas, NM and was a beloved son, grandson, and a child that loved life.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, April 18, 2011 from the Santo Nino Church in Rociada, NM at 10:00 a. m. The interment will follow in the Santo Nino Cemetery in Rociada, NM with the following serving as casket bearers; Jonathan, Ryan, Marina, and Nathan Martinez, and Jennifer Rue. Honorary bearers will be Cruzito Padilla, Nathan Martinez Jr., Joseph Rue, Venus Gomez, Serenity Martinez, Christopher Gomez, and Gilbert and Makayla Mejia.
