It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Michael “CB” Aragon on October 27, 2024. He was born on June 7, 1961 and is preceded in death by his mother, Annie; brothers: Joseph and Daniel; son, Josjua; grandmother who raised him, Juanita Benavidez, Juan de la Cruz Benavidez, Lolo Aragon, Moises and Ramon Benavidez, and Tina and Narcisco Encinias.
He is survived by his wife, Pamela; sons: Michael Wayne and Reyes; brothers: Robert Aragon (Lizzie), Louis Benavidez (Barbara); sisters: Maria Coca (Romolo), and Andrea Chavez; nephews: Robert and Marco Aragon and families; and several other nieces and nephews and cousins; very special friends, Denise Lavinge, Marcos Herrera, and all his friend at Dick’s Pub and Restaurant.
He graduated from West Las Vegas High School in 1980 and lettered in track. He won the District in the 400 meters and also qualified for State in the medley relay and 220. He was honorably discharged from the United States Navy. He was an avid Las Vegas Raider fan.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, November 12, 2024 at St. Anthony’s Cemetery at 9:30 am. Online condolences can be left with the family at www.gonzalesfunerals.com.
