Michael Anthony Gallegos

Michael A. Gallegos 36, a resident of Las Vegas, NM passed away on Monday, May 13, 2024 here in Las Vegas, NM. He was preceded in death by his mother, Joni V. Gallegos; a great-grandmother, Luisita Apodaca; an uncle, Juan Fermin Maes Jr.; a cousin Juan Fermin Maes III;

and a second cousin, Desiree Apodaca.

He is survived by his grandparents who raised him, Juan Fermin and Diana Maes; his brothers:  Sebastian Gallegos and wife Nicole and their children Luchiano,  Ezkiel, Remi, Kaydence, Fabian Gallegos, and Anselmo and Jesus Gonzales; father, Jason Smith and companion Brenda Romero and their children: Jason Smith and Justin Smith and their children and girlfriend Stacey and their daughter Hailey;  uncle Tommy Gallegos and his wife Francelia and their children Steven Gallegos and wife Carmen; Tommy Gallegos Jr. and fiancé Isabella, and daughter Mia Gallegos; uncle Mark Gallegos and sons Xavier and Marcos Gallegos; aunt Angelica Gallegos who was more like his mother and her children Alexis Sanchez and fiancé Justin Vigil and children Justin Jr., and Rose Vigil; Dezirae Benavidez and fiancé Vicente Herrera and their children Azlynn, Benito, Vicente  Jr.  Devynne Benavidez and fiancé Richard Alires and her children Trinity Flores, Harmony Benavidez and Zayne Alires; uncle Orlando Marquez and fiancé Marisa De la O and their children Zeomara, Azeliea, Sielene, and Noah Yara; great uncle Joe Apodaca and wife Lucy and their children Jose, Belana, Augustine and their children and grand; uncle Jude Maes and his children Isia and Isiah; and five grand kids; cousins: Jennine Maes, Jolene Maes, Isabella Maes and all their kids.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, June 11, 2024 at 9:00 A. M. from the Immaculate Conception Church.  Father Dennis Garcia will celebrate the Mass.  Inte interment will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
