Olympia (Aragon) Gallegos

Olympia Gallegos, 78, a resident of Guadalupita, NM, passed away at the Taos Living Center in Taos, New Mexico on Tuesday. She was preceded in death by her parents, Eduardo and Raquela Aragon, and a sister, Fidelia Vigil.
She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Fred Gallegos of the family home in Guadalupita, NM; one daughter, Angela Gallegos and husband Benito Jaramillo of Guadalupita, NM; one son, David R. Gallegos and wife Lisa Pacheco of Guadalupita, NM; one sister, Barbara Lujan of Albuquerque, NM; two grandchildren: Amanda Gonzales and husband Gilbert and Sonya Gonzales all of Guadalupita, NM; and one great-granddaughter, Makayla Gonzales also of Guadalupita, NM.
A life long catholic, she was a member of St. Gertrudes Church in Mora and was a life member of the V. F. W. Women's Auxiliary. Services will be held at St. Gertrudes Church in Mora, NM on Thursday evening with a rosary at 6:00 p.m. and the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated immediately following the rosary. The interment will be on Friday at 10:00 a.m. from the Santa Fe National Cemetery in Santa Fe, NM.
