Pauline Garcia 87, a long time resident of Las Vegas, NM passed away on Friday, March 5, 2010. She was preceded in death by her parents, Florentino Garcia and Francesquita Apodaca de Garcia, and a sister, Cleo Salas.
She is survived by one brother, Esequiel Garcia of Tucumcari, NM six nieces including a niece raised by her, Mary Frances Vigil of Los Montoyas, NM; one nephew, and several grand nieces and grand nephews.
She was born in Los Alamitos, NM on October 27, 1922 and was a waitress for many years and was a foster grandparent for 17 years. Services will be held from Our Lady of Sorrows Church with a rosary on Monday, March 8, 2010 and the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, March 9, 2010 at 9:00 a.m. Father C. John Brasher will celebrate the Mass. The interment will follow in the San Jose Cemetery.
