Ralph Edward Troncoso, 67, passed away on May 8, 2021 in Las Vegas, NM. Ralph grew up in Las Vegas and attended Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic School (OLOS) and West Las Vegas High School. He was a Boy Scout and served as an altar boy at OLOS Catholic Church. He enjoyed animals and owned a guinea fowl, turkeys, raptors, small mammals, and a deer. In his youth he was an excellent figure skater and body builder. His talents extended to playing the piano, woodworking, sculpting, and cartoon drawing that reflected his sense of humor.
Ralph was intelligent and gifted with diverse interests. He attended NMHU and completed a BS degree in biology, MS degree in Environmental Science followed by the personal fitness program at Central New Mexico Community College in Albuquerque. He lived in Santa Fe and Albuquerque where he was employed by NM State Government and the U. S. Forest Service. Afterwards he worked in restaurant services and was self-employed.
Ralph was preceded in death by his parents, Louis R. and Mary G. Troncoso of Las Vegas, NM and is survived by Isabel Troncoso, Rosanne and Eddie Corpus, and Yolanda Troncoso and David of Albuquerque; Francisco Troncoso of Las Cruces, NM; Richard and Annette Troncoso of Westminster, CO; and niece Lydia Anne Pistol of Arvada, CO; one uncle a Korean War Veteran Manuel Troncoso of Thoreau, NM and numerous cousins.
All services will be held from Our Lady of Sorrows Church with a rosary at 7:00 p. m. on Thursday, May 27, 2021 followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, May 28, 2021. The Mass will be live streamed on OLOS website and seating capacity will be 125 with everyone wearing masks. The interment of his cremains will be held at a later date.
