Raymond M. Lucero

Funeral Services for Raymond M. Lucero, 84, a resident of Santa Fe, NM and formerly of Las Vegas, NM, passed away on Friday, June 5, 2023 will be held from the Immaculate Conception Church on Wednesday, June 14 at 11:00a.m.  Father Dennis Garcia will celebrate the Mass.  He was preceded in death by his parents, John V. and Catalina Lucero; his brothers:  Lorenzo and wife Dora, Gilbert, Tony, Isabel, Leandro, and John; a sister, Tita Sanchez.  He is survived by three sons:  Ramon Lucero of Santa Fe, NM, Max Lucero of Ilfeld, NM, and John Lucero of Las Vegas, NM; a sister, Marie Helen (Mela) Gallegos and husband Eutimio of Guyambullo, NM; a brother Jose Gonzales living in California.

            He was born in El Pueblo, NM on April 20, 1939. He was a supervisor at the Forensic Unit at the NMBHI and retired after 20 years of service.  He also was an electrician working in both San Miguel and Guadalupe County.. Serving as pallberers will be Brandon Lucero, Carlos Lucero, Joaquin Lucero, Conrad Ortiz, Orlando Lucero, and Xavier Lucero.  Cremation will follow at at later date.
