Raymond B. Maes

Raymond B. Maes, 52, a resident of Las Vegas, NM passed away on Friday, May 22, 2009. He is survived by his wife Ruby of Las Vegas, NM; his father, Paul Maes of Clovis, NM; his mother, Anna Lou Maes of Pueblo, CO; four sons: Jude Maes and companion Melanie Vigil, Ramon Bo Maes, and Larry Romero all of Las Vegas, NM, and Xavier Maes and wife Felice of Albuquerque, NM; three sisters: Estella Abeyta and Virginia of Pueblo, CO and Janet of Denver, CO; four brothers: Steve Maes of Pueblo, CO, Paul Maes jr., Orlando Maes and wife Frieda, and Danny Maes all of Clovis, NM; and by seven grandchildren: Matthew, Jasmine, Reyna, Xandria, Johathan, Xavier Ray, and Indica Maes.
He was born in Clovis, New Mexico and married Ruby Ortega on February 21, 1976 in Raton, NM. He worked in healthcare at the New Mexico Behavorial Institute as a psychiatric technician and loved his patients. He enjoyed playing baseball, fishing, and most of all loving his grandchildren.
Cremation has taken place and services will be held at Our Lady of Sorrows Church on Tuesday Morning. A rosary will be recited by Lena Villegas at 9:00 a.m. followed by the Mass of Christian Burial. Father C. John Brasher will celebrate the Mass. The interment will follow at a later date.
