Robert Dean Tyrrel

Robert D. Tyrrel, 93, a resident of Las Vegas, NM and formerly of Countryside, Illinois, passed away on November 9, 2020. He was born on Monroe County, Iowa on December 30, 1926.

Bob was one of seven children growing up on a farm. After serving in the Navy during World War II he moved to Illinois, was married, and raised eight children.  He was employed by Reynolds Metals in McCook, IL. for 33 years until his retirement.  He was a resident of Las Vegas, NM for over 26 years. 

            He was preceded in death by six siblings and two sons, John and Patrick.  He is survived by daughters Peggy, Tina, and Kathleen, and son Michael, Arthur, and Robert Jr.

            The Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted by Father Rob Yaksich on Friday, December 4, 2020 at 9:00 a.m. with Covid-19 precautions The interment of his cremains will be in St. Anthony’s Cemetery in Albia, Iowa at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family is suggesting memorials be made to Our Lady of Sorrow Church in his memory.
