Rosie M. "Rosita" (Gallegos) Gonzales

Rosie M. Gonzales, 67, a resident of Las Vegas, NM, passed away on Sunday at St. Vincent Regional Hospital in Santa Fe, NM. She was preceded in death by her parents: Isidro and Petra Gallegos; her son, Manuel Gallegos Jr.; her sisters: Dolores and Marcelina Gallegos, and Estefanita Yara; brothers: Maggie and Reyes Gallegos, Antonio Aragon, Julian and Joe Gallegos; sisters-in-law, Feliz Sandoval and Corrine Gonzales; and a brother-in-law, Abe Gonzales.
She is survived by her husband, Manuel Gonzales of Las Vegas, NM; four daughters: Debbie Galindre of Albuquerque, NM and Rita Galindre of Albuquerque, NM, Valerie Gonzales and companion Jerry of Las Vegas, NM and Michelle Gonzales and fiancé Charles of Albuquerque, NM; two brothers: Manuel Gallegos and wife Angie of Pueblo, CO and Trinidad Gallegos and wife Mildred of Albuquerque, NM; a sister, Emelia Camacho and husband Miguel of Rocky Ford, CO; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
She was born in Rocky Ford, CO on June 18, 1945 and worked at Northeastern Regional Hospital in the dietary department. She also worked at the Las Vegas Medical Center as a nursing assistant and also in the dietary department. She spent her later years enjoying her family, grand children and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed cooking, dancing and going to the casinos.
A visitation will be held Tuesday afternoon from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. in St. Francis Chapel at Gonzales Funerals & Cremations, 2315 Hot Springs Blvd. Services will be held from Our Lady of Sorrows Church with a rosary on Tuesday evening at 7:00 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday morning at 9:00 a.m. Father Douglas Mitchell will celebrate the Mass. The interment will take place in the Santa Fe National Cemetery on Monday, April 1, 2013 at 9:45 a.m.
