Rosita Serna (Pacheco) Garcia

Rosita Serna Garcia, 90, a resident of Thornton, CO and formerly of Monte Aplanado, NM, passed away in Thornton, CO on Monday in the arms of her loved ones following an extended illness. She was preceded in death by her parents; Moises and Pirilia Pacheco; her husband Ernesto Serna; two sons: Belaramino and Ernest Serna; three brothers: Max, Damian, and Jose Maria Pacheco; a sister, Adelina Martinez, and two grandsons Jeremy & James Serna.
She is survived by four daughters: Theresa Madril and husband Chris of Denver, Co, Annabelle Vigil and husband Leroy of Kiowa, CO, Grace Gallegos and husband Rudy of Aurora, CO, and Berna Serna Romero and husband Ray of Denver, CO; three sons: Roy Serna and wife Martha of El Carmen, NM, Albert Serna and wife Arlene of North Glenn, CO, and Andrew Serna and wife Traci of Reunion, CO; one sister, Mariquita Gallegos of Monte Aplanado, NM; two brothers: Moises Pacheco Jr.and wife Marcella of Denver, CO and Eliseo Pacheco and wife Tina of Taos, NM; a daughter-in-law, Rosie Serna of Morphy Canyon, NM; 28 grandchildren, 51 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews, numerous relatives and friends.
A rosary followed by the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, morning, February 16, 2013 beginning at 10:00 a.m. from St. Gertrude's Church in Mora. Father James Sanchez will celebrate the Mass. The interment will follow in the Santo Niño de Atocha Cemetery in Monte Aplanado with the following serving as casket bearers: Roy Serna Jr., Ralph Madril, Eli Chavez, Leroy Vigil Jr., Ronald Lovato, and Robert Burleson. Honorary bearers will be Bill Serna, Orlando Martinez, Russell Montoya, and Aaron Serna.
