The Mass of Christian Burial for Sarah C. Salazar, 76, a resident of Las Vegas who passed away on Wednesday at Alta Vista Regional Hospital, was celebrated this morning at 9:00 a.m. from the Immaculate Conception Church. Father C. John Brasher celebrated the Mass. The interment followed in the catholic cemetery in Gonzales Ranch, NM. A rosary was recited Sunday evening at 8:00 p.m. from the Immaculate Conception Church. Max Baca and his wife delivered the eulogy.She was preceded in death by her parents, Reymundo and Virginia Montoya Madrid.She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Petronillo "Pete" Salazar of Las Vegas; one son, Manuel "Puffy" Padilla of Las Vegas; four daughters, Gloria P. Jaramillio and husband Benny of Denver, CO, Nora Salazar of Santa Fe, and Annabelle Stella Salazar and Betty Fields and husband Mike all of Las Vegas; a sister, Maria Consuelo Aragon and husband Joe of Pueblo, CO. six grandchildren: Jocelyne Jaramillo and partner Dan Carda and Tracy Gutierrez and husband Jason all of Denver, CO, April Musik and husband John of Rio Rancho, NM, Tony Michael Montoya, and William and Pete Salazar all of Las Vegas; four great-grandchildren: Brittany Reid, Josahua Gutierrez, and Jerid and Jaden Musik and special family friends, Francisco Ramirez & Hilda and her son Raul of Las Vegas.She was a very loving and giving person. What she loved most in life was cooking, babysitting and dancing. She loved all her little angels that she took care of. She had a lot of special people in her life. Her cousin Trudy Salazar, Cecilio and Rita Gurule, Max and Sylvia Baca, and her beloved little companion, Brittany and her other dogs and special friend Annie Montoya.
