Steve Gold

Steve Gold, 70, a life long resident of Las Vegas, NM passed away on Thursday. He was preceded in death by his parents, Isac and Sofia Gold; his wife, Flora Gold; and his brother, Frank Gold.
He is survived by four sons: Kenneth Gold and wife Bernadette and Jason Gold and companion Monica Herrera all of Las Vegas, NM, Jesse Gold and wife Rebecca and Matthew Gold and wife Dianna all of Guadalupita, NM; two daughters, Kimberley Gold and husband Sammy Vigil, and Alicia Gold all of Las Vegas, NM; seven brothers: Louie Gold and wife Angela, Gilbert Gold and wife Isabel, Isac Gold Jr., Orlando Gold and wife Beatrice, Bobby Gold and wife Priscilla,Tony Gold, and Nash Gold and wife Elaine all of Las Vegas, NM; five sisters: Gloria Benavidez and husband Benny, Grace Valencia and husband Manuel all of Las Vegas, NM, Mary Lou Maestas and husband Sammy of Rio Rancho, NM, Dolores Ortega and husband Robert of Corrales, NM and Mary Ann Gold of Las Vegas, NM; and the following grandchildren: Angelic Gold, Ashley Fairfield, Audrey Maas, Jason Gold Jr., Kurstin Gold, Sammy Vigil Jr, Martin Vigil, Jozelle Gold, Jenaya Gold, Jesse Gold Jr., Matthew Gold Jr, Joslen Gold, Santiago Gold, and Jacob Gold; two great-grandchildren: Paige Fairfield and Taylor Maas and by numerous nieces and nephews.
Steve was a West Las Vegas High School graduate and married Flora Espinoza in 1962. He drove heavy equipment trucks for his brother Louie and was a bricklayer by trade. His hobbies included fishing, dancing, and horses. Cremation has taken place and a rosary will be recited this evening at 7:00 p.m. from Our Lady of Sorrows Church. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday morning at 9:00 a.m. from Our Lady of Sorrows Church. Father C. John Brasher willl celebrate the Mass. The interment will follow in the Santa Rita Catholic Cemetery in Bernal, New Mexico.
