Virginia M. (Romero) Vigil

Virginia M. Vigil, 82, a resident of Las Vegas, NM passed away at Alta Vista Regional Hospital on Thursday, November 30, 2023. She was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel and Genoveva Romero; her three sons:  Joseph, Charlie Jr., and Pail Vigil; granddaughter Jessica Vigil-Kunz, father-in- law, Leopoldo Vigil and mother-in-law, Rosarita Vigil; siblings Samuel Jr., Leo Romero, and Mary Trujillo   

            She is survived by her husband Charlie Vigil of 65 years of Las Vegas, NM; sons Patrick and Richard Vigil of Las Vegas, NM; daughter Linda Aragon and husband Donald of Las Vegas, NM; sister Wilma Montoya of Sheridan, NM; brother, Joe Romero of Salida, CO; 12 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law Lorenza Vigil and Mary “Stella” Sandoval.

            A special thanks to the Drs and nurses at Alta vista Regional Hospital.  Virginia was a beautiful person, very loving and giving.  She always had an amazing smile on her face.  She made a great impact on everyone’s lives.  She enjoyed going to the casino with her husband every Saturday, and she always enjoyed loving all her grandchildren.

            Cremation has already taken place and services will be held at Our Lady of Sorrows Church on Friday, December 29, 2023 beginning with a rosary at 9:00 a.m. followed by the Mass of Christian Burial.  The interment will follow at a later date.
