William E. Hathaway

William E. Hathaway, 76, a resident of Las Vegas, NM, passed away on July 11, 2011 following an extended illness. He was preceded by his parents, Robert and Kathryn Miller Hathaway; and two brothers, Richard and Robert Hathaway Jr. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Virginia of the family home; two sons: Jesus A. Hathaway and wife Roseann of Las Vegas, NM and Marlin Hathaway of Seattle, WA; one sister, Kathryn Valliant; two brothers, David Hathaway and Danny Hathaway; and by two grandchildren: Jose, and Minoa Crete Hathaway of Seattle, WA.
He was born in Los Angeles, CA on April 19, 1935. He was honorably discharged from the United States Air Force on August 15, 1958 from Biggs Air Force Base, Texas. He was a registered nurse and worked at the New Mexico Behavorial Health Institute from 1981 until 2005. In his spare time he enjoyed golf and carpentry work, reading, listening to music, and working crossword puzzles.
A rosary will be recited on Saturday, August 13, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. from Our Lady of Sorrows Church. Cremation has already taken place.
