HENRY TRIGG
Henry Trigg, 90, passed away on Friday, April 14, 2006 at his ranch home near Los Montoyas, NM following a brief illness. Born on May 18, 1915 in Ft. Worth, Texas and was the son of the late Dr. Henry Bolin and Millie Roscoe Day Trigg. As a young man Henry had lots of experiences in different corners of the world. He spent a year touring Europe on a motorcycle before the War. He entered the merchant marines and worked on a freighter in the Mediterranean Sea during WWII. Then he worked in Hollywood as a horse handler and stuntman. He worked on several well-know pictures including "Gunga Din", "Gone With The Wind" and "The Nine Lives of Alfredo Baca." In 1945 he settled on a ranch in Cerrillos and later married Louise Baker of Myricks, Massachusetts.Henry and Louise raised four children: Marie Keller of Weare, New Hampshire, Bow Trigg of Mesa del Apache, NM, Sally Day Trigg of Questa, NM, and Peggy Trigg of Albuquerque. In addition he was seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Henry Trigg cut a wide swath through life. He was a man of vision with a wide circle of friends from all walks of life. His kitchen table was the scene of many a late night talk where he was comfortable discussing world events with ambassadors or cattle ranching techniques with cowboys. Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life Service will take place at a later date. The family has requested memorials be made to the San Miguel County Chapter of the American Red Cross, c/o Connie Chavez, 2109 Eighth Street, Las Vegas, NM 87701 in his memory.
